The people who say "words don't mean anything to me, actions do" befuddle me because words mean a lot to me. To me, it's the actions that can seem hollow, because you can do things for others not for their sake but as a way of manipulation. Words are the things many people have trouble actually saying. Because words hold a lot of power and can confirm the reality of things. Some people are scared to say them because they don't want that reality to fade or end up being fake. I love words because I love knowing how people feel about me, I love hearing how much I mean to them. I love knowing they love me.

Of course, having actions that show it are good too. They are reaffirmations.
