In my opinion. Tsukasa is probably the worst crafted character in tbhk. From a young age, he was doing sus shit like feeding live animals to a "god" for presents. He was 4, granted, but...? Then he's in the haunted house for like, 50 years. He isn't sad or scared, he's just as he was before he agreed to give his life in exchange for Amane's. And granted...he was 4...so he likely didn't fully grasp what that meant, apart from just disappearing/not getting to be with Amane. Then he learns from Kou that Amane ends up killing, and instead of maybe going back to his time in an attempt to set things right...he's jumping for joy at the thought of being killed by Amane. Wtf? Is that genuinely his own response or does it come from being warped by what happened to him/the "god"? He returns a year later and predicts people's deaths like it's nothing. He is (as we learn from Amane) fussy and hard to deal with. Is he like that because he's traumatized or due to being possessed? And then...he and Amane die, and now, since he's come back to the far shore, whenever he sees Hanako, all he does is mentally torment him while saying he's glad to see him. Is it really about revenge or is he just enjoying it? Is it really his own desire to be malicious or is it the being that (still?) is in possession of him? We got an arc around the little him and got to see what the little him thinks of Amane... but it's frustrating because I feel like we still don't know what's going through his head and it's still not clear how he became supernatural prior to dying.

If I have to make guesses... underneath that childlike glee, he's serious, and he's definitely traumatized by what he was put through. He does enjoy tormenting Amane, not out of revenge but because... mainly... I suppose "normal responses" became boring to him, and "different responses" are what appeal to him, especially on a person of interest?

After the recent arc's finish, I kind of lost interest in the manga but I hope there'll be more glimpses through Tsukasa's mind... because he's flat as fuck and I hate it.
